Blackberry Pepper Jelly Pie With a Little Kick
A sweet, silky pie infused with the warm heat of blackberry pepper jelly for the perfect balance of flavor.Ingredients
- 1 unbaked pie shell
- 4 egg whites
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup blackberry pepper jelly
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1–1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Cream the butter in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the sugar and beat well.
- Beat the egg yolks and add to the creamed butter and sugar mixture.
- Add the blackberry pepper jelly and mix well.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the beaten egg whites into the butter/sugar/jelly mixture.
- Add the lemon juice and mix well.
- Pour mixture into the unbaked pie shell.
- Bake at 350°F for approximately 30 minutes.
