Jazzed Up Cranberry Sauce

An Easy Upgrade for Holiday Leftovers & Sandwiches

Don’t throw out that cranberry sauce yet. This Sweet Home upgrade takes canned Jellied Cranberry Sauce and turns it into something you’ll actually look forward to—sweet, tangy, and just a little spicy. It’s perfect for leftover turkey sandwiches, cheese boards, and quick holiday appetizers when you want big flavor without starting over.

Yield: Makes about 2 cups (about 8–10 servings)

Prep Time: 2 minutes

Cook Time: 0 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups canned jellied cranberry sauce
    • Note: Whole-berry cranberry sauce also works, but the texture will be chunkier.
  • 2–3 tablespoons Sweet Home Pepper Jelly (Raspberry, Blackberry, or your favorite flavor)
  • Optional: 1–2 teaspoons orange juice or ½ teaspoon orange zest
  • Optional: pinch of salt (to brighten flavor)

Instructions

  1. Add cranberry sauce to a bowl.
  2. Stir in 2 tablespoons pepper jelly until smooth and well combined.
  3. Taste and add 1 more tablespoon pepper jelly if you want it sweeter or spicier.
  4. Optional: Stir in a splash of orange juice or a little zest for a brighter, citrusy finish.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.

  • Leftover turkey sandwiches (with mayo + a slice of cheddar or brie)
