Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground chicken or turkey)
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely diced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¾ cup Sweet Home Bloody Mary Mix
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional, to taste)
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Hamburger buns, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Stir in onion and bell pepper; cook 4–5 minutes until softened.
    Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in Bloody Mary mix, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar (if using).
  5. Season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Simmer uncovered for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and saucy.
    Taste and adjust seasoning.
  7. Spoon onto toasted buns and serve warm.
