Chipotle Chicken Sliders

Smoky chipotle chicken sliders with just the right amount of heat.

Smoky, juicy, and just the right amount of heat—these chipotle chicken sliders are made for football nights, casual gatherings, and easy crowd-pleasing meals.

Yield: Makes 6–8 sliders
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

For the chicken

  • 1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • ½ cup Sweet Home Chipotle Pepper Sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, for balance)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the sliders

  • Slider buns or small rolls
  • Shredded cabbage or slaw mix
  • Sweet Home Hillbilly Pickles (mild) optional

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the Chipotle Pepper Sauce, olive oil, honey (if using), garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the chicken thighs and toss until evenly coated. Let marinate for 15–30 minutes if time allows.
  3. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken thighs for 5–7 minutes per side, until fully cooked and lightly caramelized.
  4. Remove chicken from heat and let rest for a few minutes, then chop or shred into slider-sized pieces.
  5. Toast slider buns lightly, if desired.
  6. Assemble sliders with chipotle chicken and a handful of slaw or the Hillbilly Pickles. Serve warm.

Heat Level Notes

  • Milder: Add an extra tablespoon of honey or serve with cooling slaw.
  • Hotter: Add a splash of Moonshine Hot Sauce or a pinch of cayenne to the marinade.
