This Sweet Home Seven-Layer Dip takes the familiar layered dip everyone knows and adds just enough Sweet Home sweet heat to make it memorable. Creamy, savory, and slightly spicy, it’s the kind of dish that disappears fast at watch parties, potlucks, and casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

Base Layers

  • 1½ cups refried beans or seasoned black beans
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice
  • Salt, to taste

Middle Layers

Top Layers

  • 1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or blend)
  • ¼ cup Sweet Home Candied Jalapeños (Cowboy Candy), finely chopped
  • 2–3 tbsp sliced green onions

Optional Add-Ons

  • Diced tomatoes
  • Sliced jalapeños
  • Chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, stir together sour cream, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  2. Spread refried beans (or black beans) evenly in the bottom of a shallow serving dish or pie plate.
  3. Carefully layer the seasoned sour cream over the beans.
  4. Spoon guacamole evenly over the sour cream layer.
  5. Drizzle or gently spread the Sweet Home Pepper Jelly over the guacamole.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly across the top.
  7. Finish with chopped Candied Jalapeños and green onions.
  8. Chill for 15 minutes if desired or serve immediately with sturdy tortilla chips.
