Ingredients

  • 1 prepared 9-inch tart crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 3–4 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Granny Smith), thinly sliced

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • ¼ cup sliced or whole almonds (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
